I've recently had to switch from d-pad to analog, because right side of the d-pad doesn't work correctly now, making it extremely hard to perform certain motions. This analog stick is pretty shitty I guess, but I'm getting used to it, and while my execution of special moves improved greatly, I'm having a hard time occasionaly when it comes to movement issues, especially a quick dash-in after FRC/RC in the midst of a combo etc. That is, I need to practice more. Although I realize that I need an AS. Badly.
One button FRC sucks, but as far as I recollect, key config options in Guilty Gear are limited, so you can't bind the same action to more than one button. Thus a person who uses the controller in a 'classic' manner will find it hard to use RC/FRC without setting it to one button. It's possible however, if you set for example P, K to separate shoulder buttons and use something like R1+R2+triangle to execute RC/FRC, but it also means that one has to use shoulder buttons to execute all the moves that require pressing P or K, which I find pretty uncomfortable.

Ouch, playing with analog is near-impossible in my opinion >.<

Tried on CvS2 on Dreamcast, and no good. I keep jumping and jumping, no accuracy at all T.T
I never went to Training Mode to see the inputs when using analog... I only suppose that my 236 becomes 12398 or something worse than that =P

Ah, there's a thing that destroys me: the [] commands, mainly from Venom or May. I can't do that damn command right or fast enough! It's easier to turn on KoF/Garou and combo something into Raising Storm (1632143+A/C) than to make a single Carcass Raid.
Therefore, I have 'forbidden' chars for me. No Venom, Axl, May...

Actually I've got no problems with the DP, quarter- or half-circle motions. It is the movement that gives me unbearable pain sometimes :smt088 I'd stick to the d-pad, but it seems that I've killed it when trying to master A.B.A combos. I'm not going to buy a new gamepad, since I can save the money and buy an arcade stick in a few months time, so at least now I can let my left thumb rest a bit Wesoly

On a side note, Dreamcast controllers are arguably the worst gamepads I've ever played with.

And yeah, I also find characters with the [] commands uncomfortable to play. I don't really know why, but that's how I feel and that's the reason I never got into Venom, even though I like his design and overall gameplay.
